One of the most exciting young talents in world cycling, Mark Cavendish forced his way into T-Mobile's Tour de France line-up with a run of results that made him impossible to ignore.

The 22-year-old sprinter will be withdrawn before the mountains but has every chance of adding to his remarkable haul of six wins in his first pro season.

Belgian great Johan Museeuw has already identified the Manx-born Cavendish as a rider who could lift the sport's profile in this country.

Victory in the predicted bunch sprint in Canterbury on Sunday would be a great first step.

Sebastian Vettel may be the man most likely to thwart Lewis Hamilton's hopes of a second world championship this season, but as the McLaren driver arrived in the tropical metropolis of Kuala Lumpur it was not the German on his mind but the man he describes as his "nemesis", Fernando Alonso.

"I will always think that my nemesis and my closest rival will always be Fernando," said an unusually reflective Hamilton. "Just because of my history, when I started out. I see him as my Prost, if we were [Alain] Prost and [Aryton] Senna. If you were to say 'choose a driver' [that I would like to be] I would clearly choose Ayrton. And maybe I would put him as Prost."

The rivalry between Senna and Prost, which is brilliantly captured in the new film, Senna, was one of the most bitter in all sport. The difficult relationship between Hamilton and Alonso in 2007, when the Spaniard was unsettled and ultimately driven from McLaren by Hamilton's rookie brilliance, had its moments, too. Hamilton, probably, has never received proper credit for his performances that season, when he missed the championship by a single point.

But is not Vettel his true nemesis now? "I don't think so. If he continues to have a car like he does now then, maybe, but I think when we get equal pace then we will see some serious racing. Maybe he [Vettel] is the new Mansell? Not that I would rate him like I do Mansell." Ouch.

But with the next race, in Malaysia, almost two weeks away Hamilton is less concerned with racing rivals than his relationship with his family. He is close, once more, with his father and former manager Anthony. And this week he will return to England to see his brother Nicolas, who has cerebral palsy, race for the first time.

"I can't miss my brother's first race [at Brands Hatch next weekend]. It's OK. I can sleep on the flight. I can still stay in this time zone. I'll just head back to see his qualifying and race and then pop back out. It's cool. I'll get to watch lots of movies on the plane.

"Me and my brother are close. I mean, everyone has their situations in life, but it has been tough for him. I can understand what he has been through because I am the closest person to him, but even I cannot comprehend what it must have been like to have the difficulties he has had. And now he gets to have the opportunity to live the dream himself. Me and my dad will be there."

The relationship between Hamilton and his father has been strained for the past year, since Hamilton decided that he no longer wanted Anthony to manage his affairs. But they have been closer in recent months and were seen together at the Australian Grand Prix. Anthony now manages the latest British FI hope, Paul di Resta.

"This weekend has been great. I don't know whether you saw me and my dad spent a lot of time together. I asked him if he would like to be on the grid with me and he said 'I would love to do that'. It just felt fantastic this weekend.

"I felt the support that my dad gave me – it was the same as he has always given me but without the stress. I said to him 'I know you have to go down the other end of the grid' and he said 'No. Paul understands that I want to be up this end as well.'

"My dad was just there as my dad. He has always given me immense support, but I think it was support mixed with some stress. But this time it was just 'I'm so proud to see you out there' and it was just fantastic. Really, really great. Things are pretty good. Great times and they can only get better."

Then, suddenly, it was back to racing. "Finally I've got something I can fight with, something I can take the fight to the Bulls with," he said, following McLaren's revival in Melbourne and his second place.

"Malaysia is a massive downforce track so you're going to see Red Bull as quick if not quicker. But I have no doubts our car can be competitive as well."

Meanwhile, the McLaren team principal, Martin Whitmarsh, said: "We leave here [Melbourne] knowing we had a car capable of taking two places on the podium. It was genuine pace. Both drivers and the team had a difficult winter and it is fantastic to come out of it that strong. We have to dig deep, it's a long championship and we have to improve race

Elena Dementieva

Elena Viatcheslavovna Dementieva (born 15 October 1981) is a retired Russian professional tennis player. Dementieva is most notable for winning the singles gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She won 16 WTA singles titles and reached the finals of the 2004 French Open and 2004 US Open. Dementieva achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 3, which was accomplished on April 6, 2009. She announced her retirement on October 29, 2010, after her final match at the 2010 WTA Tour Championships. Dementieva ended her career ranked World No. 9.Dementieva was born in Moscow to Viatcheslav, an electrical engineer, and Vera, a teacher—both recreational tennis players. She was rejected by Dynamo Sports Club and the Central Red Army Tennis Club at the age of 7, before enrolling at Spartak Tennis Club, where she was coached for 3 years by Rauza Islanova, the mother of Marat Safin and Dinara Safina. She then moved to the Central Red Army Club with Sergei Pashkov, when she was 11. She was later coached by her mother Vera and her older brother Vsevolod. She has homes in Monaco, Moscow and Boca Raton, Florida. Dementieva enjoys snowboarding, baseball, reading and traveling.
Dementieva played and won her first international tournament, Les Petits As, in France at the age of 13. In 1997, she entered the WTA top 500. She turned professional in 1998 and entered the top 100 in 1999.

Dementieva was an offensive baseline player with powerful groundstrokes off both sides and excellent defensive skills. Her preferred groundstroke was her forehand, which she hit hard and flat. In particular, her running forehand, which she rarely missed, was a key weapon for Dementieva when she was on the defensive. Dementieva was also known for her excellent athleticism and speed around the court. Dementieva made few net approaches except to return drop shots or to take advantage of weak returns from her opponents, although since Wimbledon 2009 she had been more aggressive at times.
Dementieva had no particular favorite surface, as her playing ability allowed her to adapt easily on each surface although her best results were on hard courts, while her two Grand Slam finals were on hard court and clay. While her heavy groundstroking baseline game did not seem to be that suited to grass, her athleticism and improved serve, in particular her slice serve, led to two consecutive semi final appearances at Wimbledon.
Although Dementieva's serve made major improvements over her career, it was always known as her weak spot.

Gonzalo Higuain wallpapers

Gonzalo Higuain initially rejected calls from both the Argentine and French national teams, specifically a friendly against Greece on 15 November 2006, claiming at the time he was undecided for which country he would prefer to play.

Gonzalo Higuain's international career was looking set to mirror that of David Trezeguet, whose father was Argentinian, but went on to play successfully for France. When Les Bleus called up Gonzalo Higuain against Greece, they assigned him the number 20 shirt, the number originally worn by Trezeguet. However, at the beginning of 2007, Gonzalo Higuain expressed his desire to play for Argentina and decided to declare his natural-born status at the nearest Argentine embassy while being abroad.

In February 2008, Gonzalo Higuain was called up by Argentina Olympic for a friendly match against Guatemala. He scored two goals in his debut as Argentina won 5–0. And in May 2008, Gonzalo Higuain played 61 minutes against Catalonia in the other friendly match. Both matches were not officially recognized by FIFA as "A" international matches, and will not count towards his caps and goals in international play.

Gonzalo Higuain finally got the call for Argentina by coach Diego Maradona for the last two qualifying matches for the 2010 FIFA World Cup against Peru and Uruguay. Many in the Argentine media had criticized Diego Maradona for not selecting Gonzalo Higuain in the past. He scored his first goal on his debut, a 47th minute strike during a 2–1 win over Peru.

On 3 March 2010, Gonzalo Higuain scored the only goal in a 1–0 victory against Germany in Münich
Real Madrid successfully signed Gonzalo Higuain for €13 million, after River Plate had earlier turned down a €10 million offer for the 19-year-old striker.

The striker announced at the signing of his six-and-a-half-year contract "It's great to have the chance of playing for such an important club as Real Madrid. I feel proud that Real Madrid has noticed me."

2006–07 season

Gonzalo Higuain's first game for Real Madrid was on 14 January against Real Zaragoza at home. Gonzalo Higuain shone by creating several chances and delivering the assist which resulted in Real Madrid's 1–0 crucial win against Zaragoza.

Gonzalo Higuain's first ever goal for Real Madrid came during the 62nd minute in Real Madrid's draw with local rivals Atlético Madrid on 24 February 2007. His first home goal for Real came in the dying minutes of Real's crucial encounter with RCD Espanyol on 12 May 2007. With the match tied at 3–3, Gonzalo Higuain won the ball with a sliding tackle before exchanging a one-two with José Antonio Reyes and slotting the ball into the net. It was this goal which enabled Real Madrid to overtake rivals FC Barcelona into first place and propelled them to their 30th league title.

2007–08 season

On 4 May 2008, with Real Madrid down 1–0 against CA Osasuna, and needing just three points from their final four games to secure the league title, Gonzalo Higuain came on for Javier Saviola in the 67th minute and from a free kick, he assisted Arjen Robben's equalizer in the 88th minute. Gonzalo Higuain then struck the winning goal two minutes later to clinch Real Madrid's 31st La Liga championship.

Despite being Real Madrid's title hero, Gonzalo Higuain found himself on the bench for Barcelona's visit to the Santiago Bernabéu four days later. As he had in previous games, however, Gonzalo Higuain came on to devastating effect, scoring with his first touch within a minute and helped his team to a crushing 4–1 victory.

2008–09 season

On 24 August 2008, Gonzalo Higuain became Real Madrid's cup hero, scoring in the 89th minute, giving Real Madrid a victory over Valencia CF and its eighth Supercopa de España. After the close of the summer transfer window, Real Madrid revealed that they had turned down a €25 million offer for Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus. He cemented a starting place in the team's starting eleven after impressing in the preseason, UEFA Champions League, and La Liga.

Gonzalo Higuain scored all four goals in a 4-3 win against Málaga CF on 8 November 2008. Gonzalo Higuain also provided two assists in the league match against RCD Mallorca on 11 January 2009. He became recognized for his devastating pace, dribbling, and low, powerful drives. Gonzalo Higuain finished the season as Real Madrid's top scorer with 22 league goals, and 24 in all competitions.

2009–10 season

On 15 September 2009, Gonzalo Higuain netted his first Champions League goal when he scored Madrid's third in their 5–2 win over FC Zürich, recieving a solid pass from Raúl, using superb dribling skill on a defender and slotting home a good effort, also providing an assist to Raúl in the same game.

According to the Oxford Dictionary the word “sexy” is an adjective that describes sexual attraction in humans, and other species. There should be a picture of Yoshihiro Akiyama right beside the definition of sexy. The man we call “Sexyama” is a Rabbit-Punch.net favorite and one of our many idols. Him and his model wife are Japan and Korea’s answer to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Men want to be him; women want to be with him. Akiyama just reeks of sexiness; his sexiness is so potent that women reading this post are actually in danger of getting pregnant. In fact seeing the very image of Yoshihiro Akiyama could lead to a very “releasing” feeling of satisfaction and possible urge to smoke a cigarette. You all need to seriously take a shower after your done reading this. Even with two straight losses, our favorite MMA sexy symbol and UFC Superstar is still a fan favorite.

So what could be sexier than Sexyama? Is it Arianny Celeste on a hot day or Jessica Alba from that movie where she is scuba diving? It’s neither; it’s the world famous men’s magazine Maxim. It’s a great read while dropping a deuce, I know I read it while sitting on the throne. Combine the two sexy elements together and you have something so ultra-sexy and super that it should be illegal! Check out our homeboy Akiyama gracing the cover of Maxim in Korea. Big ups to the good people at Nightmare of Battle for the picture!
