Xherdan Shaqiri Footballer Young Plays Sport Xherdan Shaqiri born 10 October 1991 is a Swiss footballer, who plays as a midfielder for FC Basel in the Swiss Super League as well as the Swiss national team. Shaqiri made his Basel debut as a substitute in the Basel's season opening game of the 2009–10 season against FC St. Gallen on 12 July 2009, at the AFG Arena. On 9 November, he scored his
